"you meet a guy…you probably don’t even realize that you like him at first…but he notices you; quite a lot actually and begins to take an interest in you, and you show him interest as well because you like him, and you like the attention. you start to talk to him after one of you eventually has the nerve to ask for the others number. you share small things at first, but it all slowly adds up to long conversations about things from your day to how you think the earth came to be and the conversations become longer and longer…you talk til your eyelids can’t stare at the screen anymore and you have to turn your brightness down just to keep the conversation going at 3 am on a school night. eventually it becomes known that you’re fond of each other and have developed feelings for each other. you find yourself talking about him to your friends and even they know you like him and he likes you. then all of a sudden…one day it all stops–the long conversations, his sweet text messages, the compliments…it just stops. you don’t gain any more sleep because you still stay up past 3 to see if he’ll say something. he never does. you ask yourself what you did wrong. what you said that flipped a switch inside of him. you finally say “we haven’t talked much.” and he’ll reply with “sorry…been busy…” or maybe he wont even reply at all. it became a daily thing of him not talking to you and you pretending like it doesn’t matter. everything that kept you so happy has made you crazy. and you don’t even know what happened. it all just stopped and you can’t explain why it just never worked out like it did when you used to talk to him. and that’s why you’re not with anybody…because it always turns out this way. none of us ever wanted it to be like this."
